Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about KrimKar personal loans — eligibility, rates, documents, disbursal, data rights, and more.

Eligibility

Who can apply for a KrimKar loan?

Indian residents aged 21–60 with a regular income (salaried or self-employed), a valid PAN card, and an Aadhaar number linked to a mobile number. Both salaried employees and self-employed professionals are eligible.

Is there a minimum salary or income requirement?

KrimKar does not publish a fixed minimum income threshold. The KrimKar Rate Index evaluates your income level as part of your overall creditworthiness. Both salaried and self-employed applicants with regular verifiable income are considered.

Can I apply if my CIBIL score is below 650?

A lower bureau score does not automatically disqualify you. KrimKar evaluates multiple factors — repayment history, income stability, assets, and engagement — not just CIBIL. Applicants with lower scores may qualify at higher indicative rates. Checking your eligibility does not affect your score.

Can NRIs apply?

No. KrimKar loans are currently available only to Indian residents with an Indian mobile number, PAN, and Aadhaar.

Interest Rates & the KrimKar Rate Index

What is the KrimKar Rate Index?

The KrimKar Rate Index is our personalised rate-setting system. It computes your indicative interest rate from 5 real-time factors: your repayment history (35%), credit bureau score (25%), declared and verified assets (20%), real-time platform demand (10%), and time of day (10%). See /rate-index for a full explanation.

What interest rate will I get?

Your indicative rate is computed at the time of rate check and shown before you apply. Rates currently range from 13.5% to 36% p.a. (reducing balance). Your actual rate is confirmed by our NBFC lending partner at loan sanction.

Does my rate improve over time?

Yes. Borrowers who repay on time progress through KrimKar tiers: Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum. Each tier unlocks a lower rate on your next loan. PLATINUM borrowers access rates from 13.5% p.a. — up to 10% below the starting rate.

When is the best time to check my rate?

Off-peak hours (11 PM–6 AM IST) use a 0.95 multiplier — a 5% reduction on the base rate. Applying during low-demand periods can also improve your indicative rate. These factors are part of the KrimKar Rate Index.

What is a representative example?

For a ₹3,00,000 loan at 14% p.a. (reducing balance) over 24 months: Monthly EMI ≈ ₹14,424 · Total interest ≈ ₹46,176 · Total repayment ≈ ₹3,46,176. Processing fee: up to ₹6,000 + 18% GST. Actual amounts vary by credit assessment.

Application & Documents

What documents do I need?

Aadhaar number (for KYC), PAN card, and a bank account. Bank statements are fetched automatically via the Account Aggregator framework with your explicit consent — no PDF uploads required for most applicants. Self-employed applicants may be asked for GST returns or ITR.

How long does the application take?

The Kira AI conversation takes approximately 5 minutes. Credit decision typically follows within minutes of submission. Same-day disbursal is available for eligible applicants.

What is Kira?

Kira is KrimKar's AI loan advisor. Instead of filling out forms, you have a guided conversation with Kira — via chat or voice. Kira checks your eligibility, explains your rate, collects documents, and answers questions in plain language, 24/7.

What is the Account Aggregator framework?

The Account Aggregator (AA) framework is an RBI-regulated system that lets you share your bank statements directly from your bank to KrimKar, with your explicit consent. No downloads, no PDF uploads — the data transfer is instant and consent-based.

Disbursal & Repayment

How quickly is the loan disbursed?

Same-day disbursal is available for eligible applicants who complete e-signing and NACH mandate setup before 4 PM on a bank working day. Exact timing depends on NEFT/IMPS availability and bank processing hours.

What is a NACH mandate?

NACH (National Automated Clearing House) is a one-time bank authorisation that allows KrimKar's lending NBFC to auto-debit your EMI on the due date each month. It is set up digitally during the loan agreement stage — no branch visit or physical form required.

Can I repay early?

Yes. There are no prepayment penalties after the first 6 EMIs. Prepayment within the first 6 months may attract a charge as specified in your loan agreement and Key Fact Statement.

What happens if I miss an EMI?

A missed EMI attracts penal interest as specified in your loan agreement. Persistent missed payments may be reported to credit bureaus (CIBIL, Experian) and may affect your KrimKar tier. If you're facing difficulty, contact support@krimkar.com before the due date — early communication helps.

Who can see my data?

Your data is shared only with our RBI-registered NBFC lending partner(s) for loan processing, and with regulated service providers (KYC, AA, bureau) required for verification. Your data is never sold to third parties or telemarketers.
